Introduction

The Introductory Course is designed specifically for students who are new to yoga or new to the Iyengar method of yoga. These classes introduce poses (asanas) and the basic principles of alignment. Students of all abilities can perform the introductory asanas with the use props specific to Iyengar Yoga such as blocks, belts and blankets.
These asanas will help you develop strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina while cultivating discipline, courage and sensitivity in mind, body and spirit. At the completion of the series, students will possess the basic knowledge required to progress to the next level of classes.
