Class Description

Regular Classes
The Introductory Course is designed specifically for students who are new to yoga or new to the Iyengar method of yoga. These classes introduce poses (asanas) and the basic principles of alignment. Students of all abilities can perform the introductory asanas with the use props specific to Iyengar Yoga such as blocks, belts and blankets. These asanas will help you develop strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina while cultivating discipline, courage and sensitivity in mind, body and spirit. At the completion of the series, students will possess the basic knowledge required to progress to the next level of classes
Special Classes
The mind is the subtle aspect of the body and the body is the gross aspect of the mind. The interconnectedness of mind and body determines our wellbeing in all aspects of life and forms the gateway to health, wealth and happiness. When the mind is out of alignment, it resists life.
Aligning the mind is aligning thoughts and emotions. In this special class you will be trained on how to neutralize all resistance for greater peace and joy.
